You can become a member of our club either by visiting our stand during the university orientation days at the beginning of each academic year or by filling out the "Join BÜTAK" form located in the "Registration" section on our website's homepage.
BÜTAK is a student club that operates independently and has no direct or indirect connections with any institutions, organizations, associations, or foundations outside of Bogazici University.
BÜTAK's area of focus is Turkology. Therefore, in addition to Turkish history, we are actively involved in topics such as language, culture, mythology, art, anthropology, ethnology, and architecture, which fall within the scope of Turkology.
To become a member of BÜTAK, you must be a student of Bogaziçi University. However, individuals who are not Bogazici University students can participate in our events by filling out the "Guest Participant Form" available in the "Registration" section on our website’s homepage.

No, attending events is not mandatory. Your club membership continues even if you do not attend any events. However, attending at least half of the events will give you the right to vote and stand for election within the club.
Our club was established as the Bogazici University Turkic Studies Society (BÜTAT) on February 21, 2015. In 2023, our application to become an official club was approved, and BÜTAT began operating under the name BÜTAK starting January 2024.
BÜTAK determines event topics and guests based on suggestions from the General Assembly consisting of active members.
Our events, such as reading workshops, conferences, discussions, and panels, last approximately 1.5 hours.
